Shimano has recently upgraded their Curado series of casting and spinning rods to cater to the needs of tournament anglers. By incorporating their Hi-Power X technology, the rods are now reinforced with diagonally-wrapped carbon tape forming “X” shapes on the outermost layer of the blank, providing increased strength and improved casting performance. Additionally, the Curado series now features Shimano CI4+ reel seats, adding sensitivity and reducing overall weight. The combination of Fuji tangle-free K guides with FazLite inserts ensures minimal line tangles and allows for the use of various fishing lines, such as monofilament, fluorocarbon, or PowerPro braided line. With a range of powers and actions, the Curado series is designed specifically for tournament anglers who encounter a variety of techniques on the water.
