The Shimano Status Bent Butt rods have been constructed utilising high power carbon and e-glass blank technology to withstand and absorb the pressures of deep water fishing. This line is ideal for deep dropping due to the 8 strand braid paired with the teflon coating, which combine to provide a round, thin and super smooth braid. Not only does the Teflon coating provide extra smoothness to the line, it also has water repellent properties so that the line doesn’t soak up too much water and become heavy and lose strength over time.
