World-famous rod builder, Gary Loomis himself has designed the Gary Loomis Edge First Strike Rods.

Armed with the newest materials, Gary set out to make the lightest and most sensitive rods ever produced. The first Strike Series deliver advanced American-made performance perfect for a range Australian natives.

Each high quality IM Graphite blank is meticulously hand-rolled and finished along the banks of the North Fork River in Woodland, Washington, yielding a powerful and durable series of rods any angler would be proud to own.

The First Strikes feature raw carbon finishes- no color, coating or weight is added to the blanks, allowing each blank to perform at their unencumbered best. The First Strike Series feature Fuji guides and are equipped with lightweight proprietary reel seats.

A comfortable braided carbon-fiber grip delivers increased sensitivity over cork, EVA or even carbon fiber wrapped alternatives.

RAW CARBON
All of our blanks come in what we call raw carbon no added color, coating or weight. Our blanks are sanded with a 15-micron grit and then smoothly buffed. We feel that such a pure, unadulterated finish allows our blanks to perform at their unencumbered best.
